Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Kasyap

Ass. Prof. Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Kasyap, also known as AK Kasyap, is a distinguished consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist in Nepal.

He completed his MBBS from BPKIHS in 2003, followed by an MD in Medicine from Manipal, Bangalore, in 2007. Dr. Kasyap specialized further with a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at AIIMS, Delhi, in 2010, and undertook short-term training in Interventional Gastroenterology at AIG, Hyderabad.

He earned his DM in Gastroenterology from NAMS in 2016 and was awarded the FRCP from Edinburgh, UK, in 2023.

Dr. Kasyap’s expertise spans a wide range of gastroenterological and hepatological procedures, with particular fields of interest in endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, ERCP, endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL), stricture dilatation, glue injection for fundal varices, and injection therapy for ulcer bleeding.

His contributions have been instrumental in advancing these techniques and improving patient care in Nepal.
